Dr. Rasmussen, or Dr."R" as her staff and most patients call her has been practicing in the Cedar Valley since graduating from Cleveland Chiropractic College in Kansas City, MO in 1991. Since graduating from college she has been a bit of a knowledge junkie and has received additional certifications in the diagnosis and treatment of extremity conditions (DACBSP), acupuncture (FASA) and sports injuries.
She has been active in the business community both locally and and on a state level. She has served in chair positions of the Cedar Falls Chamber of Commerce and in the Iowa Chiropractic Society(ICS). For over 25 years Dr. Rasmussen has been a recognized leader in the chiropractic profession in the Cedar Valley area. She served on the local ICS board beginning in 1992 and then in 1993 began to serve on the state board. She was President of that board from 1999-2000. She returned to the ICS board in 2009 and served on the Board of Directors until 2021. Dr. Rasmussen and her husband Dane have two daughters, Alayna and Cayla enjoy spending time together, especially on Sanibel Island in Florida.
Emily started in our office in March 2013. She grew up in the Cedar Valley and graduated from the University of Northern Iowa with a degree in athletic training.
Dr. Nick Dugger
Dr. Nick Dugger joined the CVC team in April of 2020 following his graduation from Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, IA. Dr. Dugger obtained his Bachelors of Arts degree from Wartburg College in Biology where he was also a member of the Track and Field team, competing in the Heptathlon indoors and Decathlon outdoors. Dr. Dugger knew chiropractic was for him after suffering whiplash from a pole vaulting accident leaving him with horrible neck pain and headaches. After he saw a chiropractor he saw instant relief from his neck pain and headaches that had been keeping him up all night. Dr. Dugger believes everybody deserves to experience the relief chiropractic has given him!
While in Chiropractic school at Palmer College, Dr. Dugger had the opportunity to serve our nation's veterans at the Central Iowa VA Hospital in Des Moines, IA where he worked together with doctors, surgeons and physical therapists alike to provide chiropractic treatments and care for veterans. Dr. Dugger's passion for his community can be seen with his involvement in the Cedar Valley Rotary Club and his time spent treating the athletes at Hawkeye Community College. Dr. Dugger has also taken on the role on the Board of Directors for the Iowa Chiropractic Society for the Northeast District as of 2021. Outside the office, Dr. Dugger enjoys spending time with his wonderful wife Carissa and black lab Margo, working out at Crossfit Kilo, and keeping up with Iowa athletics!
